There are rough wild boars and crows which compete with our rabbits for food and may even attack them. Okunoshima appears to be not a complete safe sanctuary as many would have presumed. Although volunteers sometimes frequent the island, a local resident vet would have been a better provision of lasting care for the vulnerable little ones...
